Top advice needed. by Puroistna Top advice needed. by Puroistna
This is a question to people who can model in Metasequoia at some part.

Alright so, I modeled this out of a square primitive if that matters.
My intention of this top was it to look like very short miniskirt with bones that I could make her boobs pop out from time to time.
Right now it looks too tight and I'm trying to figure out how to edit it into a little frilled thing that I could add bones to.
So here's a screenshot of it with the topology that might give you an idea what could I do about it.
I don't want to start over since I fitted this so well, so if I won't figure it out then it will just stay as a tight top bra thingy with a little bit of transparency.
However I'd rather avoid her nipples being visible all the time. But if nothing else will work I can eventually deal with this.

Please don't fave this thing, I only want some advice on this.

For frills a way is to create 2~3 triangles on all edge vertexes and then connecting then with quads. Kinda like modeing pleated skirts.

When it comes to critiquing, I have nothing to say. When one concentrates hard on trying to find an imperfection they will find the smallest one and it will never be unseen. You can say the hair looks off, or the arms look thiner, or whatever you wish. The fact of the matter is that as long as you buff out the major inconsistencies you see, it is correct.

I've set it up as critique so other people pay (hopefully) better attention to this.
If you'd read the  description you'd see I was only seeking some advice on how to make the top frilly.

hmm, i don't model in metasequia but most modeling programs have similar features . For the frills you can probably delete a couple rows of polygons and add them on to the bottom relatively easily, might even be able to give them physics of their own. Unfortunately I haven't the slightest idea how you'd add the kinda bones you want, perhaps you can do some skinning sorcery by shortening the top a bit and skinning it at a lower value, so when the chest bounces the whole top won't completely move with it. Alternatively you could also make it a slider.

So you're issue is , it's too tight,

Well I mean you could scale on Y and X axis a little and a small bit on the Z
Or you could take it into blender, go into edit mode, enable proportional editing (connected) (its a really nice tool it smoothly moves more than 1 vertice at a time and you can adjust the radius, I suggest looking it up)

i'm unsure of how frilly you want it but a while back i did a tutorial on frills from like cubed surfaces

i hope that comes in useful in some way????

The only idea that comes to mind is to divide the edge rings in the middle and move the vertices by hand. I doubt there's a fast and efficient way.
